INSTALLATION OF BULB
Of course, the best solution is to buy a batting cage from us, which means a perfectly sized frame for your batting, for which we recommend using elastic cords to secure the top and sides. But there are other options.
When attaching to a steel or wooden frame with elastic cords, attach only to the top and sides so that the bottom hangs loose and can be tucked under to allow some slack around the entire screen.
A screen with too much tension will lead to faster wear.
We take no responsibility for damage during use or installation of the screen, unless this is done by ourselves.
In order to counteract extra wear or damage to the drum cloth, you need about 30 cm behind the screen to allow some space. Our batting cages do not have this extra surface built in, so make sure the cage is placed 30cm from the back wall or other objects.
The baton should be hung so that you have enough slack to be able to push your hand into the center and let it go back 25 cm.
Some choose to hang an extra fabric behind or put up padding to reduce wear and tear on the fabric and for better sound insulation.
LIFETIME ON THE BACKREST
To increase the life of your putt, try to use new golf balls that are clean, without marks and worn surfaces. Balls with marker markings will stain the cloth and this cannot be cleaned, so be sure to avoid marked balls. Also, a ball that spins more will cut and bite into the screen more resulting in increased wear. Premium golf balls are the ones that stress the canvas the most, but also the softest balls because they can spin more, deform and crack more easily.
If you find that an area is wearing out a lot, you can turn the batting cloth over if you have one of our premium cloths as these are double-sided, this increases the life of your cloth and does not need to be changed as often.
The batting cloth on our scaffolding cages is not rotatable, if these break, we have new replacement cloths to sell.
The cloths are durable and should last for thousands of strokes.
WRAPS/BREAKS
Of course, the screens must be folded during shipping. These should not affect your image once installed. For stubborn creases, try using a steamer on a low setting after testing on an inconspicuous area. We take no responsibility for any damage that occurs.
