We help you with a flexible and complete golf simulator, from planning the space to selecting the right components, so that we then build and take care of all the installation for you.
ROOM DIMENSIONS:
The most common question we get asked daily is: Do you think my space is big enough? Sometimes this is a difficult question to answer over the phone or email. So here are the minimum dimensions needed for a well-functioning simulator room.
Height - 2.8m
Width - 3m
Depth - 4m (Photometric)
Depth - 5m (Radar)
These are the minimum room dimensions for you to feel "comfortable". There may be exceptions where we can go slightly smaller, but these are our recommended minimum measurements.
The best thing to do if you're not sure if you have enough space is to go into your room and slowly try to swing a golf club. If you feel comfortable taking a full swing with a driver in your intended space, the room will likely be large enough for your golf simulator.
What equipment do you need?
The next question we get is: What do I need for a complete installation?
By a complete installation, we mean everything needed to play indoor golf both at home and for commercial use. Listed below is each piece of equipment you will need, we will help you choose the right components to fit your needs and budget.
BATTING CAGE
The batting cage can either be a fixed installation built in wood, a complete stand-alone cage that is easily assembled and taken down to shape from a steel structure that is then covered with fabric, or a solution where you hang fabric on the sides like curtains with a batting cloth. This is the very basis of a simulator that the balls will be hit into. If you intend to have a cage in a space that stands for evenness, we recommend a fixed installation built in wood that is covered internally with our acoustic plates to dampen both sound and ricochets in case of lob shots or oblique hits. If you are going to have a simulator in a space where it may be seasonal that you have to pick up/take down at regular intervals, we recommend our own cage which is put together with a steel structure and is very easy to both set up and take down when needed.
BATTLE MAT
This is the surface you will stand on and hit the balls from. We have a number of different solutions depending on price range and wishes, we help you pick the best option for your solution.
LAUNCH MONITOR
The launch monitor is usually the biggest investment in your installation. There are many to choose from, such as radar-based systems that require more depth, or photometric systems that require less. The choice of launch monitor will largely depend on what your intended use of the simulator is and what your budget is. There are different options depending on whether you want it to be a fixed installation that sits on the ceiling permanently, if you want a unit that stands on the ground behind or one that stands to the side. Again, we help you choose the best option for your needs and wants!

PROJECTOR
To be able to see the image on the screen, you need a projector. The type of projector you choose depends on what budget you have as well as the desired image quality, where it is mounted and the screen's aspect ratio. The projector can be mounted either on the ceiling or on the floor. You can also mount many projectors eccentrically and use "keystoning" to adjust the image to the screen. This is practical when the width is limited. If your projector is to be mounted on the ceiling, you also need a projector bracket, and if it is to stand on the floor, you need our projector case.
HARDWARE
Depending on your chosen launch monitor, you will need a computer or a mobile device, such as a phone or an iPad, to run the software that your launch monitor supports. You will also need lighting that illuminates the area from which you will hit the ball so that the launch monitor can more easily pick up the shot and measure so that you get the correct values. Cables for your setup are also needed, such as HDMI and chargers. Also, don't forget your electrical outlets in the room where your installation will be located. The closer to your power source, the better.
SOFTWARE
Once your devices are fully connected and you're ready to start swinging, you'll need software for your device that you can use to practice or play courses on. Some software is included in your chosen launch monitor, but some prefer to use an external software to play tracks on as this can be experienced better than the associated software. Many of the entry-level to mid-range launch monitors are best paired with external gaming software. This gives you the choice of thousands of golf courses to play on, including various driving range options and online play. Ask us for the best help in choosing what suits your needs best.
